16 Days Vietnam Cambodia Tour

Arrive at Lao Cai train station at about 6.00am. Meet the local guide at the main entrance and take our private car for the one hour transfer to Sapa town on the high mountain.
Have breakfast and relax for a while.

Today is for discovering the nature as well as different culture of hill tribal people. From hotel we start our car drive up and down hills with nice rice terraces, spectacular scenery the Fansipan Mount, and passing the scenic Muong Hoa valley. We walk up and down the rice terraces, hills, bamboo forests and streams to Lao Chai and Ta Van Villages which is decorated by terraced-fields and the house of H'mong, Red Zao and Zay people. You will have great opportunity for taking photos of breathtaking landscapes, meeting friendly hill-tribe people at home and work, and getting to understand their tradition, habits... We will return to Sapa town around noon and have lunch.

Later in afternoon, drive to visit the Silver Waterfall. The Silver Waterfall is located about a half hour from Sapa town which offers stunning views over surrounding mountains and lush forests belonging to Hoang Lien National Park. Then we continue our drive uphill to the Heavens Gate, the highest stretch of road in Vietnam as well as the provincial border of Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces. Come back to Sapa town in late afternoon. Overnight in Sapa.

Option 1: Visit a Hill Tribe Weekly Market 
In this area there are some Fair Markets which can't be missed. (Can Cau on Saturday, Bac Ha on Sunday and Coc Ly on Tuesday)
You will check out hotel early and leave Sapa for about 3 hours driving to the market. Join in the colorful market of the tribal people in this region. On the fair market the H'mong, Dzao, Phu La people in their best traditional costumes go to the market for shopping and meeting friends and relatives
Afternoon, transfer back to Lao Cai town and stop at the bus stop to board our luxury van (Vietnamese luxury limousine) for the trip back to Hanoi. There are 2 stops in the way to relax. 
Arrive in Hanoi around 9pm, drop off at your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi. 

Option 2: Visit Cat Cat Village & Ham Rong Mountain
After breakfast at hotel, start trekking to Cat Cat village, the village of Black H’Mong hill tribe. The village is on the slope of the hill and easy walking, rice and corn are grown here. Cat Cat village possesses many imposing waterfalls and also is home to the water hydropower construction built under French rule. Return to the hotel before noon and check out hotel.
After that, climb up Ham Rong mountain for a great view of the town and of the mountain range. Return to the hotel before 3pm.
Around 3pm: The luxury van (the so called Luxury Limousine) will pick you up at hotel for the journey back to Hanoi. There are 2 stops in the way to relax.
Arrive Hanoi around 9pm, drop off at your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi. 

Option 3: Visit Silver Waterfall & Fansipang Mountain by cable car
After breakfast, the guide will pick you up to Fansipang Cable Car Station and spend 20 minutes with cable car to enjoy the spectacular scenery.
Reach the altitute of 2800 meters, you have a good time to see the view and take photos, visit pagoda the spiritual destinations and trek up to 600 steps you will reach the peak of Fansipan - the Roof of Indochina. (Spend about 1,5 hours for hiking and taking photos).
Come back to Fansipan Cable Car Station and return to Sapa town. 
Around 3pm: The luxury van (the so called Luxury Limousine) will pick you up at hotel for the journey back to Hanoi. There are 2 stops in the way to relax.
Arrive Hanoi around 9pm, drop off at your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

8:00AM: Meet our guide and driver and leave the hotel in Hanoi to Trang An Ecotourism in Ninh Binh province, 100km from Hanoi to the south. On arrival, we take the amazing boat trip to visit Trang An grottoes which is a gathering of 31 valleys, 50 cross-water caves, and home to 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna, many of them in the Red Book of Vietnam. While rowing through Trang An grotto in the quiet, fresh air of the highlands, with only the sound of birds and the oars stirring the clear water and surrounded by magnificent forested mountains upon which graze white goats, visitors enjoy a heaven on earth. After about 3 hour boat trip, come back to the land and enjoy lunch with local specialties. After lunch, we drive to Bai Dinh pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues, biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters in height, 100 tons in weight. Late afternoon, transfer back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi. 

After breakfast, you will leave for Halong Bay, one of the most spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Areas and the world’s largest marine limestone ‘karst’ landscape. There you will board your boat, a wooden junk built from the model of the old Vietnamese court vessels with sails, a wide transom and rectangular superstructure, that will take you first to the busy World Heritage area and then to some of the less well-known grottoes and caves. Weather permitting, you will be able to swim, fish, climb a hill for an overview of the Bay’s remarkable seascape, or venture into some of the sea level caves in a small sampan. All your meals will be provided on board, usually based on fresh seafood.
Your overnight will be aboard.

Morning, meet our guide and driver after breakfast and take a discovery trip to My Son Sanctuary, 40km from Hoi An. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, now remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries. My Son, considered being in the same league as some of Southeast Asia's greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. These towers and sanctuaries were built from the 7 to 13 centuries. Admiring great architectural and art works of the Cham lost Kingdom. Having a brief understanding of the history, culture for which My Son was recognized the World Cultural Heritage. Return to Hoi An in at noon.

In the afternoon, you will have a guided tour to see the interesting sights of this ancient city. Some hundreds years ago, this town thrived o­n trading with the Chinese, Japanese and Spanish. You will visit a historical Old House, Japanese Covered Bridge, Old Temple and Silk Factory.

Option 1: Morning Cooking Class with Market visit
Have breakfast at hotel. This morning you will join in a half day Cooking Class tour with Red Bridge Cooking Center from 8:15am to 1pm. 

We start the day (8.15am) with a welcome drink at Hai Café (98 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hoi An Ancient Town, Tel: Tel: 84 0235 3863210 Mob: 0905 452 092) – our meeting point.

Visit Hoi An’s colourful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.

We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.

On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked.

Optional activities: Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our 20 metre swimming pool - towels and showers provided.

Option 2: Explore Local Villages
Have breakfast at hotel.
8am: Depart from the hotel and this morning we will visit Cam Kim Island.
Cam Kim island, a beautiful carpentry island which is about 10 minutes ride by ferry from the city, is a must when you are in Hoi An. A pleasant ride to Cam Kim island will let you free from the busy life in the old town. Instead of old buildings everywhere, you will enjoy stunning views of the countryside on Cam Kim island with beautiful rice paddies, cute water buffaloes, and friendly local people. This island is almost free of tourists and full of a chance for local culture explore.

• Visit boat building workshop
• Cycle around the village to see rice fields, vegetable farms, water buffaloes.
• Learn and try your hand at a local traditional rice paper making with a local family.
• Pay a visit to Duy Vinh village and learn to weave sleeping mat with locals in their house.
• Check out local's rice wine making house and learn how to row the basket boat with local fishermen.
• Interact with local people and see the typical life here
• Cycle back along the country roads
• Many photo opportunities
• Enjoy lunch with Quang noodle

After lunch, return to the hotel and rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight in Hoi An. 

After breakfast at hotel, leaving the busy city, you are going to visit country side in the Mekong Delta. On arrival at My Tho. The only way for you to observe the local lifestyle is getting on a boat navigating around the small canals in the delta region. Lunch at local restaurant or Vietnamese house. Roaming around and observe how the people make the living from fruit trees such as coconut, corn and other local products. You may love to enjoy tea and tropical fruits prepared by the locals. Return to the hotel by 5pm. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh. 

Optional Tour: Evening Saigon Food Tour by Vespa scooter from 6pm to 10pm.

First Our experience drivers on vintage Vespas will pick you up from your hotel, then we will bring you to our Venue, to have a welcome drink at a local bar for you have a free drink and to enjoy the panorama of Saigon.
Then we bring around the City, to enjoy the landmarks of Saigon, to small alley where you see the real life of Saigonese. Our first stop for dinner is a local restaurant where we would like to introduce to you our local specialties like: Vietnamese Pancake, spring rolls... After that, we continue our Discovery of Saigon to local Seafood restaurant, another experience for you to taste the seafood with great ambience of the local. The trip is not done yet, the fun things is still waiting for you after.
We would like to bring to the local acoustic music Cafe to have some desert of drink, to enjoy some music performed by Vietnamese singers.
Our last stop before get back to the hotel will be Bar, where you can enjoy Rock music or Jazz, now you can say you experience the Saigon Night Life. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.

Check out the hotel and depart the hotel in the morning for Cu Chi to visit the Tunnels. Cu Chi Tunnels are a network of underground tunnels begun in 1948 by the Viet Minh in their struggle against the French. These tunnels were expanded and used by the Viet Cong during the war between Vietnam and America. Americans called this the “Iron Triangle” and was a stronghold of the Vietcong for almost thirty years. You can walk underground in the tunnels and try some gun shootings at your own cost. 
Afternoon, transfer directly to the airport in Saigon for the late afternoon flight to Siem Reap. Arrive in Siem Reap, transfer to the hotel in city center for check in. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

After having your breakfast at the hotel, we will explore to visit The South Gate of Angkor Thom: Bayon, Baphoun and Leper King Terrace, Phimeanakas and then Ta Prohm. You can experience an elephant ride while you are in Bakheng Mountain from 4 pm to 6 pm. To this point, you are quite hungry and ready for the lunch at local restaurant. Continue your trip with Thommanon, Chaosay, Ta Keo and the center religious beliefs of Cambodia, Angkor Wat, one of the “Seven Wonders’ of the world”. At the end of the day, you will climb to the top Bakheng Mountain or Pre Rup Temple to watch the extraordinary sunset. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

After breakfast, transfer to take the Tonlé Sap for a cruise on the lake with the visiting to floating village to explore the fishman’s life. Then visit Chantier Ecole-Artisant d’Angkor and explore the market. Overnight in Siem Reap.
