Halong Signature Cruise 2 days

Day 1: HANOI - HALONG BAY - BAI TU LONG BAY

07:30 – 08:00 Your transfer vehicle will collect you from your hotel in Hanoi and convey you to Halong City.
12:30 You will be taken on our tender from the wharf and make your way out onto the bay to board our luxurious craft, Signature Cruise. You will be welcome aboard and greeted with a complimentary drink. Our Crew will conduct a compulsory safety procedures session and then you are free to check into your cabin and freshen up. Take some time to have a look around the vessel or watch the magical landscape go by.
13:15 As we begin to cruise through the bay a special lunch of fresh seafood and an assortment of appetizing favorites will be served. Dining on a luxury junk with ﬁne food and drinks doesn't come much better than this.
15:00 After lunch we set sail for Bai Tu Long Bay passing the towns of Hon Gai and Cam Pha, extraordinary limestone karst landscapes. Explore Vung Vieng ﬁshing village by local rowing boats to discover the interesting daily lives of its inhabitants.
16:30 Back onboard Signature Cruise Halong Bay's main craft we will drop anchor for our overnight stay surrounded by incredible landscape

Day 2: HALONG BAY - HANOI

06:30 The nicest time of the day on Halong Bay is the morning. Head to the upper deck to participate in our daily Tai Chi sessions. Relax with an early morning cup of tea, coffee or juice anywhere you wish on the boat and watch the never ending miraculous scenery unfold before you.

7:30 - 8:30 Enjoy the last stage of your trip in Thien Canh Son cave and islets , which is a wild and mysterious beauty in the middle of the World Heritage. Back to our main board afterwards.
09:30 check out of your cabin as we draw closer to the mainland. After a ﬁnal early brunch and a last goodbye from our crew at 11:15, you will board our tender and head back to the wharf where you will be met by your return trip vehicle to transfer you to Hanoi.
12:00-12:30 Get on shuttle mini bus and get back to Hanoi.

Day 1: HANOI - HALONG BAY - BAI TU LONG BAY

07:30 – 08:00 Make your way through the Red River Delta from Hanoi to Halong City via your transfer vehicle. Breaking time will be arranged for your best comfortable.

12:30 Your cruise will begin with a transfer from the mainland on our excursion boat which will transport you to our main vessel, Signature Cruise. Upon boarding you will be greeted by our friendly Crews and enjoy a complimentary welcome drink. After a brief introduction and safety procedures overview, you will be checked into your cabin and have some free time to relax and explore the craft.
13:15 A delicious lunch will be served in our main dining room as we slowly cruise through the magniﬁcent limestone formations which make up Halong Bay. Feast on delicious seafood and range of other delicious dishes as we make our way deeper inside Halong Bay.
15:00 Head to Vung Vieng ﬁshing village by local rowing boats to explore the interesting daily lives of its inhabitants.
16:30 Back onboard Signature Cruise Halong Bay's main craft we will drop anchor for our overnight stay surrounded by incredible landscape

Relax at our fully stocked bar with an assortment of local and international favorites. Try your luck at night squid ﬁshing, watch a documentary ﬁlm or simply relax on our roof top deck.

Day 2: BAI TU LONG BAY - LAN HA BAY

06:30 Early birds are welcome to attend sunrise Tai Chi on our upper deck and it's an excellent way to get your energy levels up for today's adventures. You will be fascinated by the exquisiteness of Halong Bay in the early hours as you enjoy a coffee, tea.

06:30 The best time to observe Halong Bay is in the early morning and we suggest that if you didn't get to witness it yesterday that now is your last chance. Tai Chi will be conducted again today on our upper deck and is a terriﬁc way to feel as one with the peaceful surroundings.
07:30 Light breakfast will be served this morning.
07:30-08:30 Enjoy the last stage of your trip in Thien Canh Son cave and islets, which is a wild and mysterious beauty in the middle of the World Heritage
09:30 Check out of your cabin and enjoy the last stage of your trip with a delicious brunch as we continue to cruise back towards harbor through scenery.

Child Policy

Free of charge for one child below the age of 5 years traveling with two adults, sharing bed with 2 adults. Limited one child per cabin only.
Children from 5 to below 12 years of age sharing a cabin with two adults on one bed are charged at 50% of adult rate, limited to one child per cabin only.
Two children below 12 years sharing a private cabin are charged at 75% of the full cabin rate. Child from the age of 12 must occupy a separate cabin and pay the full cabin rate.

The price was a little steep even after I managed to get it cheaper from their sales manager Judy in their company. However, agoda definitely has it at a much higher price. My advice would be to go straight to the company. Though the price was a little out of my initial budget, my boyfriend and I, along with two of my girlfriends unanimously agree that the cruise was nothing but exceptional, we were glad the cruise was deserving of our decision to go over our budget. Would recommend the senior suite that comes along with a balcony, especially with the exceptional view of halong bay. The food was good, but the fish was not that great though. We had Lam the cruise ship's manager along with us, overall the service was great. Judy even came to Hanoi to look for us with a little present after the cruise. Needless to say we were really impressed, if we were ever to head back to Halong Bay, it would be hard to find another cruise ship with cabins as beautiful to measure up to theirs. The jacuzzi tub even had mood lighting, and the toilet seat was heated. We were definitely spoilt by the amenities onboard! That being said, my only grouses are that the temperature of the tub tends to fluctuate a little, and towards the end of the cruise near the checkout, their water supply had cut off, even for the common toilet's taps. Overall, I would recommend this cruise to anyone who has the budget for it! (PS. too lazy to add the photos but they look exactly the same as the ones provided!)

However, if you just want to relax in your private jacuzzi or balcony, that's fine too - no one hassles you on this cruise. The food is marvellous and the crew are extremely service minded. Take all this comfort and add a candlelit dinner in a nearby cave with a buffet to die for and Vietnamese entertainment, competitions and games, and you've got yourself a pretty marvellous Christmas celebration.

We booked to go on a 3 day, 2 night tour of Halong Bay aboard the Halong Signature ship on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. If you are in any doubt about booking up, just go for it, I can assure you, you’ll have the best time. We were treated like kings and the whole experience was an amazing treat! So, I shall do this in sections as there’s quite a lot of info I can share with you. Booking: If you can, book direct with Halong Signature cruises. We thought we were booking direct but actually went through a travel agency and probably paid £200 more than anyone else. We were asked to bank transfer a deposit over, which I was nervous about but it was totally fine. They ask you to bank transfer the remainder a few days before. Instead, we agreed to pay cash when we got to their office – this saved us about £50 in bank fees and also this gave us extra piece of mind. Cabins: There are 12 cabins onboard - 6 on the ground floor without a balcony and then 6 on the 1st floor with a beautiful private view. The dining room is above that, on the 2nd floor, then the top deck where there are sun loungers and stuff. We stayed in C1, on the ground floor, which is the furthest room from the ship’s motor (don’t worry, the motor is off at night so whatever room you’re in, it won’t be an issue). The room is a generous size, with a comfy double bed, dressing table, chair, wardrobe and bathroom. The best bit about the room is the spectacular Jacuzzi! It was really funny actually, my husband was in the bath when we heard this voice outside and it was a hawker on a boat, shouting through our window, trying to sell us stuff! We did hear termites in our room too, which kept us awake, plus a few scurrying feet. The rooms itself was spotlessly clean. It’s 100% worth paying the extra £50 and getting a bigger room with a balcony. We tried to get one but they were fully booked, unfortunately and they looked incredible. Itinerary: Day 1: You get on the boat at lunchtime, eat an amazing 6 course lunch, chill out and then go to a fishing village for an hour. You can then come back and swim. Bliss! That evening, you get a stunning dinner (we ate in a cave – more on that below) and you can go squid fishing afterwards. Day 2: You can get up early doors for tai chi on the deck. I can’t comment on this as I slobbed in bed – but the option is there. After brekkie, you transfer onto a small day boat, as the big boat cruises back to shore to pick up new passengers and drop off those who only stayed one night. From the small boat you can kayak (with a guide), swim and have the standard multiple course lunch. It’s quite an early start and it’s a little annoying not to have your cabin for the day. Plus we were really cold on the boat and after we went swimming huddled under towels, although in nicer weather that won’t be a problem at all. You then head back to the main boat about 4pm, there’s a Vietnamese cooking class if you fancy it, and dinner in the evening. Day 3. You check out of the cabin at 10am and get taken over to the amazing cave. After a short visit, it’s breakfast time, then you leave for shore about 11.10am. Food: Exceptional. I could have been eating in a posh restaurant. There were 6 courses for lunch and dinner and everything was stunning. I don’t eat fish or seafood, which must have been a right pain, but the staff were amazing and made me alternative dishes, which I hugely appreciated. Costs: Be aware that once you are onboard, everything is free apart from drinks. Alcohol is three times the price compared to everywhere else in Vietnam. They do have a happy hour each day though and we took full advantage of that. And you could buy stuff from the many water vendors and sneak it onboard if you wanted to. Special dinner in the cave: Once or twice a year and always on Christmas Eve, Halong Signature Cruise throws a big party in a cave. It was an experience I will cherish and remember forever. All the little crevices in the cavernous grotto are bedecked with tealights, so you feel like you’re stepping into a fairytale. There’s a silver service buffet – God knows how they manage to cook such wonderful food and get it all to the cave – and we feasted like Roman royalty. All the staff on the boats put on a little variety show for us and it was just magical. There were games, competitions, free bottles of wine, it was brilliant. We paid a 25% surcharge for this and it was worth every penny. Staff: The men and woman who work on the boats are wonderful – kind, helpful, funny and lovely. We felt very well looked after. Summary: You see loads of junk boats cruising around the stunning scenery of Halong Bay, but it didn’t feel too commercialised on the water and the touts I have mentioned aren’t troublesome – we found it funny. You can definitely find cheaper ships, but for me, the standard of food and the lovely cabins were more than worth it. We really enjoyed our few days on the water – which was made even better because of the fabulous people we met there. This cruise is fab!
