Booking Cruise Policy

Return Hanoi: 3:30 PM
The FOC rate for children under 5 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults. Only 1 (one) child under 5 years old traveling with two (2) adults is allowed for FOC per cabin.
Children from 5-11 will pay extra charge 75% of adult rate. Children 12 and above must pay full fare as adult.
An extra charge of USD 25.00 per extra bed if required to set up in the cabin for 02 days/1night program or USD 35.00 per extra bed for 03 days/2 nights program (already included in children rate). An extra charge of USD 10.00 per baby cot for 02 days/1 night program or USD 15.00 per baby cot for 03 days/ 2nights program if require. This extra service is subject to Paradise Cruises availability.
The child rate for children from 5 to 12 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults. In case the child occupies the sole cabin, the rate for adult is applied
Peak season surcharge: Surcharge of $50 per person per night applies for travel period from 20 December 2016 to 5 January 2017.
Shuttle bus: $35/ adult and $30/ child round trip. Pick up point: at hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or in front of Hanoi Opera House

After the coach journey from Hanoi, our holiday group of 18 arrived at the La Vela cruise ship. After the coach journey from Hanoi, our holiday group of 18 arrived at the La Vela cruise ship. A boat of around 20 rooms, ours was on the 2nd floor and better than expected with a decent Ensuite and small balcony. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning good and the shower was fine. The crew all had their roles and were very good at them. Our itinerary include 2 nights which allowed more time to enjoy the excursions and have relaxation time (compared to other guests who just had one night). The itinerary was very well planned and cleverly suited those staying n board for one or two nights. The food on board was good, although I think dinner would have been better served as a buffet rather than a set menu. Drinks were reasonably priced and happy hours were very popular. Halong Bay is a beautiful part of the world and La Vela cruises are a great way of seeing it.

Food was fantastic, starting with a full buffet for lunch followed in mid afternoon by coffee and tea with cookies. The evening meal was a set menu and 5 courses. If you or any of your party dont like fish make sure you tell them and they will look after you. 2 Happy Hours per day "RESULT". Meaning that 2 beers cost 50000 VND. Happy hours between 17.45 - 18.45 and 21.00 - 22.00.

If you want a quiet leisurely cruise this is the one for you. If you want to party into the night then you need to look for a different cruise.

Squid fishing was an added bonus from 21.00 - 22.00.( Make sure you get your happu hour drinks before you go down).

There is wifi but it can be a bit intermitent.

For the price you pay you cant complain. You are always the priority.

As 2 female companions traveling together, we were very happy with our spacious cabin containing 2 nice sized single beds overlooking the water and an excellent bathroom with walk in shower AND a lovely jacuzzi bath.
The meals were always delicious and there were several trips ashore for swimming or other activities. The bar was in full flow providing Happy Hour with excellent choice of cocktails. Still suffering with jet lag I selected a Vietnamese massage, first I've ever had...and it was amazing, I slept right through and felt so energized afterwards.
The crew were all quite young and provided an excellent customer service, I highly recommend this cruise company as there are many to choose from but this in my mind, will be difficult to beat.
