Vietnam 2 Week Itinerary With Ha Giang Loop - The Ultimate 14-Day Vietnam Adventure

Have breakfast at hotel.
08:00AM: We depart for Ninh Binh province (90km south of Hanoi). Have a break 20 minutes en-route to free your legs. Arrive at Hoa Lu, which was once depicted the ancient capital of Vietnam, settling up in the 10 th century. Visit temples of two Dynasties of Dinh and Le with very unique architectures in the old time. Learn more about ancient culture through an excavation of vestiges of Royal Places ground dated 10th century. Arrive Tam Coc. Relax and Enjoy lunch in a nice restaurant nearby. Board the sampan boats in Tam Coc dock to drift down the river among the villages, mountains and lush rice fields. Passing through 3 caves "Hang Ca - First cave, Hang Hai -Second cave, Hang Ba - Third cave" to get a strange feeling. Boat returns to the dock. Continue our trip to Mua Cave one of the most alluring places to view in Ninh Binh. Take over 500 steps hiking up to the peak of Ngoa Long Mountain for the amazing views of all the Tam Coc area. You will be amazed at beautiful scenery of lust paddy fields.

Late afternoon, drive back to Hanoi. Arrive back to Hanoi around 19:00. Then, drop off at the bus station and you will have time for your own dinner.
21:00: Board the sleeper bus to Ha Giang. Overnight on the bus.

The bus arrives Ha Giang at 4:00AM, drop off at the hostel.

Route: Ha Giang city - Bac Sum Slope - Quan Ba Heaven gate - Twin mountain - Yen Minh-Tham Ma Slope - H’mong King Palace - Dong Van Town.

At 8 am: We will present you with the program including how to keep safe while traveling behind our driver and wearing safety gear.

On the first day, you will experience the feeling of surprise from one surprise to another After short brief then get on back of the bike Our team will ride though city central after 10 minutes where you start to see beautiful landscape, where you start to see the mountain, river, rural villages, then first destination take you to visit the Bac Sum pass. You will have the opportunity to admire the winding road that looks like a giant python slithering & huge valley. through the foot of "Twin Mountains". On the way towards the pass, Seen from a distance, you will see the Bac Sum slope looks like a soft silk strip, crossing the rolling mountain peaks with mist and hazy clouds and craggy rocky mountains.

Crossing the Bac Sum pass, the first place our team takes you is Quan Ba Heaven Gate - located at an altitude of 1500m above sea level. Here, you can breathe fresh air and fully admire the enchanting and majestic beauty of mountain and forest nature, rice fields, or flower valleys when in season. After that, you will be driven to the next location which is Quan Ba Twin Mountains, and listen to its tale. During the trip, you will see the Dong Van Karst Plateau. Visitors will see gray mountains mixed with cat-ear rocks, so this place is considered the "gray paradise" of Ha Giang. People often grow corn and other food crops on cliffs slanting through the rocks on the mountainside. On some roads, you will encounter small houses precariously perched on mountainsides or cliffs.

On the way to the next destinations, you will pass Nam Dam and Lung Tam villages where the Dao and Hmong ethnic minorities live, visitors can feel the national identity through the people and landscape. You will see local people drying corn - their main food, or working in the fields. Or children play together and support their parents in the fields with their parents. They still maintain their culture, always wearing traditional costumes even when working in the fields.

You will have lunch at Yen Minh Local restaurant for a few hours before continuing to climb up the Tham Ma slope where you will encounter on one side a towering mountain, that looks like it's about to collapse. Then, you will visit King Meo's Mansion, also known as the Vuong Mansion. The ends of day, we will take you to a traditional typical homestay in Dong Van for the overnight.

Evening, you are free to join night activities or socialize with other tourists in Dong Van town.

Route: Dong Van Town - Happy Road - Ma Pi Leng Pass - See the overview of Nho Que River - Meo Vac - M Road - Mau Due Valley - Du Gia

After having a local breakfast, our team will take you to continue the trip. On the path to completing Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam's four famous passes. It is a severely 20-kilometer-long pass route on the Happiness Road that connects Ha Giang City, Dong Van, and Meo Vac Town.

There is a rest area for travelers to rest and enjoy the view. From the top of Ma Pi Leng, you can see the panoramic view of Dong Van Stone Plateau and Majestic mountain scenery with cliffs on one side and the deep abyss of the Nho Que River with emerald green water on the other.

During the journey, you will pass through The M-shaped road which is the next spectacular location is a bending M-shaped road that runs from Yen Minh to Meo Vac. Going through Mau Due, you will have the opportunity to discover the communities at the foot of the mountain - Tay and H'mong villages - and learn about the unique traditions, and cultural practices of ethnic minorities.

You can keep your memories here like a painting amidst the wildness of the rocky mountains, the green forests, and the beauty of the winding roads.

Overnight at homestay in Du Gia village.

Route: Du Gia - Du Gia Waterfall - Duong Thuong Valley road - Khe Mang road - Terrace rice paddies Valley - Bac Me - Ha Giang - Transfer back to Hanoi

You will meet a small village named Du Gia in the valley surrounded by rice, corn, or high mountains towering in the clouds. On the way, you will see corn fields stretching far and wide on high mountain tops, leading past houses with wooden walls and roofs, with sidewalks filled with dry firewood stacked in large bundles and surrounded by stone walls. The next spot is Du Gia waterfall in which the water flows through the rocks, creating a long stream of different sizes, sometimes large and small. Because it originates from deep forests, the water at Du Gia waterfall is clean, clear, and cool.

Then, you will stay overnight at Du Gia village

On the journey, you will go through curvy roads named Duong Thuong and Khe Mang - along the cliffs. You will be walking along a small road running between two cliffs, on the side of the road is the green color of corn fields and high, picturesque rocky cliffs. After that, you could see the beautiful terrace of rice paddies valley which is a gift for the mountain in northern Vietnam from nature. On the way back to Ha Giang City, you will be amazed by the majestic and poetic beauty of vast green forests and the romantic Gam River in the Bac Me district. The Ha Giang Loop trip ends in Ha Giang town. Then, you are free.

Evening, board the sleeper bus back to Hanoi at 22:15. Overnight on the bus.

The bus arrives Hanoi at 5:00AM. Drop off at a dayuse hotel.

08:20 - 08:45: Pick up at your location.

11:30: Arrive at Indochina Junk Office, take a rest at the Waiting Lounge before transferring to Cruise.

11:50 - 12:15: Go to the port by a buggy, where the crew and staff will welcome you and assist with the check-in process onto the cruise ship.

12:30 – 13:00: After boarding the cruise ship, you will enjoy tea and listen to an introduction about the itinerary and safety information for the journey, as well as check-in to your cabin.

13:15: Have lunch at the onboard restaurant, featuring seafood dishes from Quang Ninh. The cruise ship will start its journey to explore Bai Tu Long Bay, passing through limestone islands and beautiful scenery along the bay.

14:30: The tour guide will take you to visit Thien Canh Son Cave, where you can explore the natural beauty of the cave with unique stalactites formed over thousands of years.

15:00: Join a kayaking excursion to discover the limestone islands in the bay before returning to the cruise ship.

16:15: Back to the cruise ship and enjoy a sunset cruise on Bai Tu Long Bay.

17:15: Join a Vietnamese cooking class.

19:00: Rest and have dinner in a quiet and romantic atmosphere on the bay.

20:00: Free time to relax and you can also join the experience of squid fishing. Spend the night on Bai Tu Long Bay

07:00 – 07:15: Morning view of the Bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. Breakfast is served on the cruise ship.

07:45: Transfer by bamboo boat to visit Vung Vieng fishing village, where you can explore the unique way of life and the beautiful scenery of the fishing village amidst the natural heritage.

08:45: Back to the cruise ship for relaxation and leisure time.

09:45 – 10:00: Check-out and enjoy some leisure time to relax and capture memorable moments as the cruise ship journeys through the stunning limestone island area.

10:15: Enjoy a Set Menu Lunch while the cruise ship continues its journey on the bay.

11:30: The cruise returns to the International Port of Ha Long. Drive to Yen Duc village in Dong Trieu province for a short break in this typical Vietnamese agricultural village which is rich in culture and traditions.

13:00 – 13:45: Enjoy a water puppet show performed by local artists.

16:00 – 16:30: Arrive in Hanoi. Drop off at the dayuse hotel by the train station.

20:25: Board the night train to Dong Hoi.
Overnight on the train in the 4 soft bed shared air-coned cabin.

The train arrives Dong Hoi at 7:20am, meet our guide and driver at the train station and have a light breakfast at restaurant.

After breakfast, drive to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. Our first visit is the Dark cave. Participate in the many adventure activities: ziplining, swimming, kayaking, adventure course, water zipline,… The venture into the cave in the dark for cave exploring and mud bathing.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon, take a 30 minute ride up the river to Phong Nha cave via traditional dragon boat. Inside the cave, the driver will turn off the motor to admire the cave’s splendor. You will then explore 300m further into the cave on foot.
At the end of the day, transfer to Dong Hoi town. Overnight at hotel in Dong Hoi.

7:30AM: Our guide and driver pick you up and takes you to Danang, some 300km away. On the way, stop in Hue to visit the Ancient Imperial Citadel, a complex of palaces and temples built by the Nguyen from early 19th Century for which Hue was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage and visit the Emperor Tu Duc’s tomb, one of the most beautiful royal architectures of Nguyen dynasty.
After that, continue our drive to Danang. On arrival in Danang, check in hotel.

07:30-08:00 am: Driver will pick you up from your hotel and depart for Cham Island via the “five- star” street connecting Da Nang and Hoi An, through the most beautiful resorts to go to Cua Dai Beach which is about 30km from Da Nang center.

09:15 Tour guide will pick you up at the pier. Embark on a motorboat and start a fantastic trip to discover the beautiful sight of Cua Dai beach.

Cham island is about 8 nautical miles from Cua Dai Beach to the east. You will have time to enjoy the strong feeling when the motorboat surfs like flying on the waves.

09:40 Arrive in Cham Island at Bai Lang Pier. From here you will start the journey to discover Cham Island, beginning with Cham Island Sea Conservation Area, Hai Tang pagoda and finally Tan Hiep Sea food market for shopping.

10:30 Time for relaxing, snorkeling and swimming.
Note: Motoboat jetski, Banana Boat, Fishing are available but not included (own expense).

12:00 Having lunch at Bai Ong.

14:00 Get back to the boat, leave Bai Lang for Hon Dai. Return to Hoai River pier and transfer back to Danang.

15:00-15:30 Drop off at your hotel.

Overnight at hotel in Danang.

Have breakfast at hotel.

Monring, you are free to enjoy Danang beach or do water sports on your own.

Afternoon:
13:00 – 13:30 Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel. Start your adventure with Cam Thanh Coconut Village. Immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of Cam Thanh Village. Enjoy a relaxing boat trip through the beautiful coconut forest. Learn to paddle the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat and join in a basket boat rowing. Besides that, you will see the basket-boat performance.

15:00 Then Hoi An Ancient Town welcomes you to visit Phuc Kien Pagoda, Phung Hung ancient house, the Japanese Bridge, Museum, etc. Shoping at Hoi An Central Market. Walk around the historic old town and be amazed by the influences from China, Japan, and Vietnam. Have dinner at the local restaurant.

18:00 Enjoy your time with the boat ride on Hoai River and release the flower lanterns to pray for good luck for you and your family. You will immerse yourself in the fanciful space of the lantern street. Free time with the night market and enjoy the shimmering space of Hoi An.

19:30 Return to your hotel in Da Nang. Overnight in Danang.

Have breakfast at hotel and transfer to Danang airport for a morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, we will have the city sightseeing, visit Notre Dame Cathedral, in the heart of Saigon's government quarter, is of neo- Romanesque architecture with two high square tower and iron spires. The Central Post Office is French-style and City Hall, known as "Hotel de Ville," is typical of the French architecture that would be seen in any village in France. Visit the War Remnants Museum, featuring collections of weapons and photographs from the two Indochina wars. Our last stop is Ben Thanh market, the biggest whole sales market in Saigon. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

After breakfast, we will depart the city and enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields to My Tho in the Mekong Delta.
On arrived at My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view the stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. Then a boat ride to a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals, then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea.
Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste the delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantation and village. Meet our driver and return to Ho Chi Minh City for overnight.

This trip provides a fascinating insight into daily life in the Mekong Delta and you are guaranteed to take home your own private collection of beautiful memories.
